About the section
Competitive hockey with a community at its core.
The men’s section at Mentone competes at Premier League level while offering opportunities for players of all ages and abilities. We welcome players from interstate or overseas, experienced players transferring from other clubs, and those who are new to the game.
With teams across Premier League, Pennant and Metro competitions, there are clear pathways for players seeking high-performance hockey as well as those looking for competitive or social play.
Senior players play an active role in supporting junior development — helping younger athletes build skills, confidence and make a smooth transition into senior hockey.

The top tier of Hockey Victoria competition. Mentone fields both a first and second grade team in Premier League each season.

Competitive hockey below Premier League — strong competition, great standard, and a clear pathway upward for developing players.

Social and competitive hockey for players who want a great game without the pressure of top-tier competition. All abilities welcome.
Off the field
More than just the hockey.
The men’s section is part of a close-knit and welcoming club community. Social events are held throughout the year across all sections, supporting strong connections on and off the pitch.
Club rooms open after every home game — come down for a drink, a feed, and a bit of a debrief. Best seat in the house for watching the next grade play.
