2018 Pre-Season Summer Series.

Another 7 week summer series is starting in January. Open to anyone 13yo or older. 7 week series, including finals. Dates: Monday’s 22-Jan, 29-Jan,5-Feb,12-Feb,19-Feb,26-Feb,5-March $70/player, $0/Goalkeeper. The closing date for signup for players is the 15th of January to allow for team selections, please signup before then to avoid disappointment. Signing up for the season is also commitment to pay the fees as positions are limited. Please think carefully before committing to the season. Flash End of Year BBQ at the Club

It was the week before Christmas….and it’s time for a BBQ. To end a full year of hockey, a small BBQ to kickoff the festive season and a last chance to get together before the holidays. Tonight, 18th December, 7.00pm start at the ground. $2/person or $5/family. Please RSVP to competitions@mentonehockey.org.au with numbers for catering purposes by 5.00pm today.    

Gracie Geddis named All Australian

Congratulation to Gracie Geddis on being named in the Schoolsport Australia,   All Australian Hockey Team for 2017 at the conclusion of the Pacific School Games in Adelaide between the 2nd and 9th of December. Gracie was representing Victoria in the Girls 16 years and under age group,  while sister Zara was also competing for Victoria  in the Girls 12 and Under age Group Gracie’s selection means she will be heading to South Africa to compete sometime in  2018. Summer Series Round 6 Wrap.

  With second spot up for grabs it was important to secure the win for the the Kings. In a tight fought tussle with the Moscato’s , a single field goal separated them at the end with the Kings taking a 4 points to 2 win. The Kings win opened up the possibility for the Coyotes to jump to the top of the ladder. A free flowing game between the Sausages and the Coyotes finally saw the Coyotes end up the regular season with a 5-0 win and secure top spot going into the finals round. This weeks finals sees …

Summer Series Round 5 Wrap.

  A turn up for the books as the Sausages scored their first win against the Kings, followed by an upset win over  the Moscato’s by the Coyotes. The race for 2nd is still on depending on the results of tonight’s games.

Portsea Polo – volunteers required

The 13th of Jan is almost here and we are looking for volunteers for the Portsea Polo. Whether its celebrity spotting, being at one of Melbourne iconic events, hanging out with mates or just helping the Club we want you! Junior Development Session

An Exciting New of Opportunity for Mentone Hockey Club  Juniors The Club is excited to announce the availability of a 4 week Development Session for Juniors The Junior Development Sessions start on Wednesday the 22 of November @ 6.30 pm and 8.00 pm (later times for older age groups) Keysborough Playing Fields is where the Sessions will be held. These sessions are targeted at player in the U12, U14, U16 and U18 age groups.  Expression of interest will be be considered for players outside these groups. Monday Night Summer Series

Return of the Summer Series sees four inter club teams vie for the pre-Christmas title. Dos’ Sausages. Teisha’s Kings. The Flying Moscato’s. Wylie’s Coyotes. Games are at 7.00pm and 8.30pm consisting of 4 x 15 min quarters. 2 points for a field goal, 1 point for a penalty corner. No draws means that in the event that scores are tied at the end of the game, a 3 player shootout will take place.  1 of the players taking place in  the shootout will be nominated by the opposing team.
