Opportunity for Junior Indoor Players

Mentone Hockey Club have registered 10 Junior Mixed Indoor Hockey teams this season. We are looking are eager and keen players to join some of our teams for the season. All junior players are welcome.  As a club, we are happy to have players from other clubs to come and play with us for the season and particularly if your club was unable to submit teams. We are looking for players from U12 to U16.  Competitions are played on Tuesday & Thursday nights (U16 &U14) and Sundays (U12). Last Premier League Home Game for 2019

Come on down to Keysborough this Saturday to see Mentone host the Altona Hockey Club. Action kicks of at 12.30 when the Women’s Premier League Reserves fight to retain their place in the 4 over 11th placed Altona. The Women’s Premier League are safely in third and will be tuning up for the finals. Men’s Health Round 2019

Hockey Victoria’s Men’s Health Round 2019 is June 10-17.  This round coincides with the Victorian Government’s Men’s Health Week which is about promoting boys’ and men’s health and well being in Australia. Why is this important? In Australia, Men’s Health Week provides a platform for challenging and debating key issues in men’s health and to raise the profile of men, their health outcomes and health needs around the country.   We ask you to support the round by each bringing some blue notes  that will be donated to Beyond Blue. 

RSA Course for Club Members

The Mentonians Association Committee have booked a facilitator to run a Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Course for Club Members (and their family members).   The Mentonians Association are heavily subsidising the course, to encourage and support participation. The cost is $20 at time of booking per TMA Club Member (Which includes Mentone Hockey Club Members and this money will be reimbursed after completion of the course) and $35 per TMA Club Member Family/Friend! Hockey Victoria Women’s Round 10 May – 15 May 2019

Hockey Victoria Women’s Round is a wonderful opportunity to recognise the work that women do within hockey.  It is an opportunity to recognise the skills and abilities of our female participants.  This year Women’s Round runs form the 10-15th of May Thursday training follows the traditional  Pink theme with Saturday’s afternoon tea also pink themed and a collection will be arranged for Breast Cancer Network Australia At the end of each Women’s home match a Player of the Match medallion to one player from each of the HV Female matches throughout the week of Women’s Round.

Indoor Festival- Goulburn

The final stages of the Australian Indoor Hockey Festival are occurring in Goulburn over the next few days. The Festival has included Under 13, Under 15, Under 18, Under 21 and Open divisions for both males and females.  Mentone has had a significant representation over the last month with 15 players in Victorian Teams. Whether its celebrity spotting, being at one of Melbourne iconic events, hanging out with mates or just helping the Club we want you!
